Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team"
An American ICON in the Martial Arts

The driving force behind Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team" is found in head coach Danny Zaino and his love for the martial Arts.  As a child he was continuously involved in competitive sports such as wrestling, football, baseball, and karate from the early age of 14 to present.  In 1979, his last year of high school, a US Army recruiter convinced him to join the service and after boot camp he was first stationed in Korea.  With his interest in the martial arts he began studying Moo Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do.  His next duty station was Ft. Bliss Texas where he then joined the US Army Karate Team studying the style of Japanese GoJu-Ryu.  His experience and love for performing came about when he was hired to travel with the team competing and performing throughout the states of Texas and Oklahoma.  When he left the military life in 1982 he moved back to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where he met his wife Theresa in 1983 and began training her in the martial arts.  In 1988 they became involved with throwing martial arts events and started up their own state circuit called the "Florida Palm Coast Karate Events" which is still going strong today along with their "National Promoters League" World Tournament & Event Division.

First born National Team Pepsi "Show Team" in 2000 at the 24th Battle of Florida hosted by Danny and Theresa Zaino and sponsored by Pepsi Palm Beach Ft. Lauderdale, now Pepsi Americas, head coach Danny Zaino decked the Zaino clan out in Team Pepsi uniforms as a thank you to Scott McDullen, then Team Pepsi Representative during the teams Night Show performance.  The show was a big hit an caught on like wild fire with the Zaino's being bombarded with phone calls around the state with competitors wanting to join the hottest new team around the United States.  The original team consisted of 80 members total hitting every competition venue possible within the next two years dominating the tournament scene and clobbering rival teams in their path.

Soon becoming a financial and logistic nightmare coach Zaino made the decision to run the team on a smaller scale strictly through his own school with a squad of only 7 to 10 members at a time.  This turned out to be a successful decision as every team member including his own talented children, Tony, Joey, and Dominique Zaino had at least 10 years of experience in the martial arts and the team soon became sought after around the country performing at Martial Arts Hall of Fames, tournaments, and various entertainment venues with the demand for their performance growing by leaps and bounds.  By 2005 with the continued growth of the team additional sponsors came on board along with their Corporate Sponsor "Pepsi Americas" such as "5 Time World Kick Boxing Champion" Steve Shepherd's company "Ringstar" Products who became the teams official equipment sponsor, and media sponsors "FightZone" Magazine & T.V., the "Action Radio Network", and "World Martial Arts Magazine".

In January of 2009, after a successful eight year run, Corporate Sponsor "Pepsi Americas" made the economic decision to leave the team along with equipment Sponsor "Ringstar" Products.  Having come so far and not wanting to end the teams success head coach Danny Zaino made the decision to keep the team going and on June 5, 2009 Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team" made their debut performance at the Action Radio Network & World Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame "Martial Arts Choice Awards" in Clearwater, Florida.  Always taking performing to the next level, coach Zaino's new team (in name only) was a big success with their patriotic demonstration taking the crowd to new heights of excitement.  Today the team is sponsored by the "Action Radio Network", "World Martial Arts Magazine, "FightZone" Media, "Martial Arts Entertainment Radio", "Action Star Media, and "Martial Arts Entertainment Magazine.
