TEAM AMERICAS® THE MAGICIANS OF MARTIAL ARTS

For 10 tremendous years, the members of Team Americas have thrilled audiences around the world.  Today, a new generation of martial arts performance stars carries on this storied tradition with timeless martial arts exhibitions.

The driving force behind Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team" is found in head coach Danny Zaino and his love for the martial Arts.  As a child he was continuously involved in competitive sports such as wrestling, football, baseball, and karate from the early age of 14 to present.  In 1979 he joined the United States Army and with his interest in the martial arts he began studying Moo Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do.  His next duty station was Ft. Bliss Texas where he then joined the US Army Karate Team studying the style of Japanese GoJu-Ryu.  His experience and love for performing came about when he was hired to travel with the team competing and performing throughout the states of Texas and Oklahoma . 

Danny formed Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team", formerly known as "National Team Pespi" in 2000 and to this day the team has been performing and thrilling audiences of all ages with their innovative and unique martial arts shows.  During the past decade the team has received numerous awards including an award for "Performance Team of the Year" for 6 consecutive years since 2004 along with Danny and his wife assistant head coach Theresa Zaino receiving an award for "Coaches of the Year."

Danny is the mastermind behind all of the teams performances spending hours upon hours choreographing each of the teams exciting shows.

Assistant head coach Theresa Zaino has many team duties which include organizing the teams performance, seminar, and training camps schedule as well as organizing all of the team equipment and music used at all of their live performances.  A voice over specialist Theresa does all the announcing at all of the team functions including voice over's on the teams instructional and infomercial DVD's.  A martial artist herself for 25 years Theresa brings allot to the table when it comes to running and organizing the team but what she enjoys the most is just being the team mom.

Known as the Chris Angel of martial arts, seven-time Forms & Weapons Champion and former member of National Team Pepsi, Tony Zaino is the power house behind the Team Americas performances. His control on stage seems to defy gravity at times while keeping audiences spellbound like a magician.

Joey Zaino is the lightening bolt of energy on the stage when you see Team Americas perform. His flawless sword sequences and empty hand forms have made him a crowd favorite since joining the team in 2000. He is also a world class kick boxer and full contact Karate fighter who’s skill is beyond his years of experience.

Dominique Zaino’s movie star good looks and powerful athletic performances make her the show stopper where ever she goes. With more than 50 state and national awards under her black belt she is quickly becoming an icon in the sport Karate world. Her popularity has risen to the point of having a following of fans that tune in each week to her worldwide radio show.

Together, under the guidance of team coaches Danny & Theresa Zaino, they have created a wave in the sport Karate world. What began as an elite level team for Pepsi Americas in 2000 has grown into a full fledged martial arts career with movie roles, TV appearances and globally syndicated radio programs.
